Safeguarding

The Safeguarding Program aims to raise awareness of our collective responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults within the Catholic Archdiocese of Perth. The program is based on a fundamental belief that all children and vulnerable adults have the right to physical and psychological safety at all times. We aim to prevent harm within parishes and agencies by building a culture that promotes safeguarding, putting the needs and welfare of children and vulnerable adults first. We aim to ensure our church workers are informed and willing to commit to safeguarding our children and vulnerable adults. We aim to provide policy and practice to create a safe environment and where there is an avenue of responding appropriately to any concerns, complaints, or allegations of harm.
